Rose was born in Ladysmith, B.C. (Oyster District), January 2, 1915. Passed away in Chemainus Health Care Centre on Monday, August 16, 2004.
Predeceased by her first husband John Cloke and second husband Ken Dyson.
Survived by her loving daughter June Ehmig and son-in-law Ron, grandchildren: Terry Ehmig, Donna Hammocks (Cary), Trina Wiebe (Joe), Vicki Ehmig (Leo), great grandchildren: Brittany, Sarah, Dallas, Marina, Brandon and Valerie. Rose was the last surviving member of the original Grouhel family, who were early residents of Ladysmith.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 20, 2004 at 11:00 am in Ladysmith Cemetery with Pastor Harry Nettleton officiating. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff of Chemainus Health Care Centre and to Dr. Welch for all their caring and kindness.
