OATES, Sheilla Mary
In the late afternoon of May 11th Sheilla passed peacefully on. A fighter to the last, she went from an Angels Abreast Paddler to an Angel in the sky. She is survived by her sister Helen (Rolland) and children, Lyall (Whan), Heather, Sharee, and Simon (Marnie Rose). She is also survived by her grandchildren Elizabeth, LJ, Lisa, Tommy, and Joshua. Ladysmith touched her heart from the first moment that I stole her from Edmonton nine years ago. She had her loving partner Jack who thrived on her positive approach to life and outgoing love of people. We have all lost a very dear friend. Her final wish was that we all join together in a Celebration of her Life, to be held at the Eagles Hall, 1st Avenue, Ladysmith, 2:00pm thru 5:00pm, Friday May 29th, 2009. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
