Stuart LOUTET

passed away unexpectedly in Nanaimo Hospital with his family by his side on December 25, 2004.

Born in North Vancouver on January 7, 1923. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gerry; 2 daughters: Donna Loutet of Victoria and Valerie Aebig of Nanaimo and “honorary” daughter Janet Copp of Vancouver. Beloved grandchildren: Lisa Weigel (Jeff), Nanaimo, Sean Vogrig, Victoria and Ryan Vogrig, Shilo, Manitoba.

He was predeceased by his brother Lindsay and sister Blanche. Survived by brothers Gordon and Douglas and sisters Kitty, Marjorie and Joyce as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Stuart served as a pilot during WWII and worked for BC Tel for 40 years in North Vancouver, Vancouver and Nanaimo.

He was a perfectionist that only worked at 2 speeds, slow and reverse. He enjoyed working in his shop, was an avid gardener and loved fishing, especially with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour, wisdom and gentle nature.

At his request there will be no service. A “Celebration of Life” was held on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Telford’s Memorial Centre, 595 Townsite Rd., Nanaimo.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Hemochromatosis
