February 13, 1927 - July 4, 2018
Thomas Emberly Hale passed away peacefully in his 92nd year, at home in Ladysmith, B.C. as he had wished, on July 4th, 2018. The children he was so proud of and his wife, Audrey, were at his bedside, he left us knowing he was loved.
Survived by and left with their memories are: his wife, Audrey Hale, Ladysmith, B.C. his 4 children: Susan Glowa (Tom, deceased), Calgary, Bruce (Rene) Hale, Calgary, Jane (Jim) Hunter, Gull Lake, AB, Brian (Heather) Hale, Calgary, 6 grandchildren: Brittany and Colin Hale, Calgary, Michael (Brianne) Hunter, Red Deer, Megan (Jonathan Doolaar) Hunter, Calgary, Walker and Logan Hale, Calgary and the two precious great-grandsons: Oliver and Samuel Hunter, Red Deer. Tom is also survived by his sister Patti Nadvornik in Arizona and niece Joanne Hill in California. We mustn't forget his two furry companions, Maggie and Charlie.
Tom and Audrey made a lifetime of travel memories before retiring to winters in Mexico, leaving Calgary in 1997, settling in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island in 2000.
Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the superb care by our wonderful doctor, Dr. Tim Britton-Foster, the Ladysmith Community Health Care Nurses and B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics who came so quickly when called. Tom could not have remained in our home these past weeks without the care and guidance of every one of them... and for this, Audrey will be forever grateful.
No service by request, the family will have a private Celebration of Life this summer.
