Thomas Harold
Born November 24 1944 in Strathroy, Ontario. Tom lost his courageous battle with cancer on Sunday Sept 8 2002 with his loving family at his side wife Christine, daughter & son in law Stacy and Mike Wratten, daughter Kimberly. Also by his side throughout his battle was his mother and father in law Elinor and Bill Kernachan. Tom was a heavy duty mechanic at the Cameron/Franklin Division of Port Alberni for 18 years. His last years of employment were spent driving logging truck which was what he loved to do. He drove for Wayne Wheeler Trucking. Toms main enjoyment with his family was camping and his love of stock car racing which he did for many years at the different tracks on the island as well as the States.Tom will leave a great many friends and family and extended family through his passions to grieve his passing. In lieu of flowers a donations can be made to the B.C. Cancer Society. No service by Toms request instead a celebration of his life will be held Sunday Sept.15 at 1 p.m. at the Duncan Volunteer Fire Hall , 468 Duncan Street, Duncan B.C. Toms family would like to Thank Drs.Glenn Robinson, W Pewarchuk, the chemo nurses on the 2nd floor for their care. A Special THANKS to the 3rd floor nurses for their care ,kindness, and compassion shown to us during Toms time spent with you.
