Tosca,

Passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, B.C. on May 25, 2003 after a brief illness. Born in Sao Paulo Brazil, December 5, 1904. Pre-deceased by her husband Angelo and her children Elma and Elvin. “Zia” Tosca will be mourned and very sadly mised by her nephews and nieces: Ed Ninatti (Barb), Norm Ninatti (Agnes), Aldo Ninatti (Irene), Lydia Ninatti, Josephine Ber-nardon, Ernie Sgarbossa and Nettie Konschak (Dick), her sister Olga Conca of Lugano, Switzerland as well as several great nieces and nephews. Tosca emigrated to Canada from Italy in 1926 and came directly to Nanaimo. She was a long time resident of Kiwanis Lodge and was well known by both staff & residents since her arrival there in 1976. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. in the Nanaimo Cemetery. Fr. Fred Doll, O.F.M. officiating. The family wish to thank the staff of Kiwanis Lodge and Dr. B. Weight for their dedicated care of Tosca over the years and during her illness. Donations to Tosca’s memory may be made to the Kiwanis Lodge. Arrangements confidently assigned to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Services, Ladysmith.
