Valerie Ann Hunter (nee Magill) of Ladysmith, British Columbia, passed away in her sleep after a lengthy illness on November 13, 2017.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 48 years, Gerald William Hunter, her adoring daughters, Ruth Hunter (Ron Kasel) and Susan Hunter (Bill England) and her much-loved grandchildren, Henry and Sarah Hunter England.
Valerie was predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Magill, her beloved Aunt Susan McClelland and her caring brothers John (Gill) and Gerry Magill.
Valerie leaves behind her caring brothers Danny, Harold and Brendan (Margaret) Magill, her devoted sister Mae Kane and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Larne, N. Ireland, Valerie immigrated to Toronto, Ontario in 1977 and moved to Ladysmith, British Columbia in 2013, where she treasured being close to her grandchildren.
Valerie had a special place in her heart for Mark and Mary.
The family will be holding a private memorial service.
