Verna Jean Mort
(nee Forbes)
of Smithers was born in Port Alberni on October 28, 1951. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Verna passed away peacefully on November 20, 2003.
She is survived by her loving husband Larry, daughters Angie Hulford, Tammy (Gord) Renyard, Dawn (Umberto) Paniz, father Alexander (Sandy) Forbes, siblings Arlene (Sieg) Steinke, Barrie (Marilyn) Forbes, Muriel (Ed) Chenard, Jeanette (Ronald) Salsman, Trish (Wayne) Deforest and Sandy Forbes.
Verna is predeceased by her mother Evelyn Forbes, daughter Denise Wright and brother Percy Forbes.
“Nana” will be deeply missed by each of her grandchildren. Verna will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and friends.
On angel wings her body soared, up from the earth for heaven more.

There will be a private service for family and friends.
