IT IS with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Vernon (Joe)
Allan Bowlby May 6, 2007 at Nanaimo General Hospital. Born Jan 21, 1954 in Smithers B.C., his family moved to Terrace in 1956. He graduated in 1972 and went to work with the Department of Highways. He married Karen Durand in 1975 and they settled in Ladysmith in 1993 after many moves throughout B.C. He was predeceased by his sister Stella, brother Rodney and father Ross. He was the proud father and is survived by his daughters Tracy and Shawna and his son Alexander, his wife Karen, mother Lena and sister Laura and his loving partner Kathy and son Colin. A gathering of family and friends took place Friday May 11 at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
