born in Edmonton, Alberta 1913. Mom closed her eyes peacefully on January 2, 2002 and opened them again to be in the presence of her Lord who now cradles her in his arms, her soul resting in peace. Her gentleness, kindness and warmth will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her passing leaves Ross Sheldon Root, her husband of 62 years, two sons Gary (Barbara), Terry (Sheryl), and six grandchildren; Kevin, Shauna, Darrin, Dallas, Kurtis, Elisa, two great grandchildren Eden and Julian, sister-in-law Pearl Moorehouse, nieces, nephews and cousins and a lifetime of very special friends.
