Latterly of Berwick on the Lake, Nanaimo, formerly of Ladysmith, passed away June 2, 2005 at age 95. Predeceased by two fine gentlemen, Harvey Wallace (1963) and Gordon Cooper (1998) with each of whom she celebrated more than 25 wedding anniversaries. Florence was a talented pianist and a keen educator who never ceased being interested in the world around her. The family wishes to thank the fine staff at Berwick for the courtesy, kindness, respect and friendship extended to her during her six years as a resident, especially the staff in the Care Unit who could not have provided finer attention.

Special thanks to Dr. Nick Schulson, to visitor extraordinaire Marion Abbott and to her many other friends who popped in or called regularly to share their experiences. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, June 10, 2005 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, BC with a reception to follow at Berwick on the Lake, 3201 Ross Road.
