William (Bill) Arthur
Born in Vernon, B.C. October 8, 1925 passed away February 24, 2003. Predeceased by his parents William Sr. and Alice Murphy.
Survived by wife Marybeth, sons Dan (Sandra) and Bob Murphy and daughter Pat (Terry) Sayce. Grandchildren Greg (Holly) Wood, Ryan and Trevor Murphy, Pauline and Michael Sayce. Five great grandchildren-Patience, Donald, Seth and William Sayce and Jasmine Wood. Also survived by two sisters Muriel (Norm) Swank and Shirley (Bill) Page, nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Bill and Marybeth celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1998 and enjoyed visiting with family and friends at any time, not just special occasions.
Dad/Grampa worked in the logging industry all of his life and covered all corners of the island from the early 50’s as a faller and pole maker. He was a long time member of the local Duncan Legion. No service by his request. Flowers gratefully declined.
