Kellogg, William (Bill) Earl

Born December 8, 1922 in Wallace Idaho, passed away peacefully at the Lodge on 4th, Wednesday morning April 7, 2010. He is survived by his wife Irene (Babe) of 64 years, sons Paul (Carol) of New Westminster, Terry (Bonnie) of Vancouver, daughter Shari (Ray) Irving of Ladysmith. Grandchildren Melanie, Kristopher, Terra, Holly, Evan, Brianne and great-grandson Logan. Also survived by brothers Ray and Roy and sisters Edie and Alice, He was predeceased by his eldest brother Harold. Bill grew up in the Nelson BC area, served overseas in World War II before settling with Babe in Ladysmith in 1946. He worked as a blacksmith for Crown Zellerbach for 38 years before his retirement in 1985. Bill was a quiet, hard working man who lived life with dignity and pride and could always be counted on for his wisdom and sound advice. He was a “jack of all trades” who could fix just about anything that needed fixing, and loved his garden when he had his property in the Diamond.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff on the 3rd floor of the Lodge and before that the staff at LDGH for their loving and devoted care of Dad for the last 5 years. No service by request, In lieu of flowers please remember Bill in your own way.
