William Doskotch ended his life journey peacefully on April 17th, 2015 at the age of 88.
He is survived by his loving wife Elaine Margaret Doskotch (née Chutskoff) to whom he was married for over 65 years, as well as children, Sonya Emperingham (Roy), Ron Doskotch (Heather) and Donna Cunningham (Bart). William (Bill) was born in Albertville, Saskatchewan, June 13th, 1926. He was one of 11 children born to Andrew Doskoch and Marija Sarabine. Bill was beloved grandpa to his grandchildren, Julia Dewolf (Lloyd), Bret Cunningham (Sharlene), Landon Cunningham, Laura Doskotch, Ken Doskotch, and Ryan Emperingham (Katie).
Bill took great pleasure ien visiting with his great grandchildren, William, Ella, and Audrey Dewolf. His life passion was working with wood, beginning with logging on Vancouver Island. This passion led him to his next endeavor of 30 years in the construction world.
There are many fond memories of “Grandpa” out on his tractor on his beloved farm. Bill was an avid animal lover; he particularly loved his cows. He could be seen driving his tractor out on the farm for over 50 years.
We wish to extend our gratitude to the caring staff on the 4th floor of the Nanaimo General Hospital, as well as Dr. Emily Steeves, Hillside Clinic, Ladysmith, BC.
