Passed away in Ladysmith Hospital on November 6, 2005. Born in Vernon, Ontario July 9, 1929. BIll was a member of the Ontario Provincial Police for 34 years. He had been a member of the Lions Club and Rotary Club in Ontario and past member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine. Survived by his loving wife Anita of 52 years, also by sister Ida Blonski of London, Ontario, brother Jack (Myriah) Hanes of Cayuga Ontario, brother-in-law Archie Kivisto, sister-in-law Mae (Paul) Laukkanen, brother-in-law Robert (Julie) West, also nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bill's life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the residence 415 Walker Ave., Ladysmith, BC for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A special thanks to the staff of the Ladysmith Hospital and to Dr. Britton Foster for their wonderful care.
