Born October 8, 1924, in Extension, BC. Passed away February 24, 2007, in Victoria at The Royal Jubilee Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was a longtime resident of Saltair, BC. Predeceased by his loving wife Betty Louise in 1998 and his son William Ernest in 1972. Also predeceased by his brother John and sister Betty. Lovingly remembered by his family. . . daughter Bonnie (Tom) de Leeuw, sons Doug (Karen) Wright, Dan (Fran) Wright, Donnie (Lynda) Wright and daughter-in-law Lorna Reinstein. As well as his grandchildren, Brian (Alessandra), Tracy (Larry), Paula (Sarb) Carrie (Norm), Doug (Darlene), Pam (Joe), Dan (Kelly) and Bill (Kelly). He also leaves 16 great-grandchildren, his brother Alex (Emily) Wright, sister Anne Wright and many other relatives and friends. Dad will always be remembered as a family man and would always be there in time for dinner in a new car almost every time! He enjoyed raising and showing his birds. Dad worked for 43 years on the trains in the logging industry. We will all miss his infectious laughter and bear hugs. A special thanks to Auntie Anne for her loving support. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Bethel Tabernacle Church in Ladysmith, BC.
