With great sadness we announce the passing of Winnifred Eugenie Williams "Dolly" on December 8th, 2017 at Dufferin Place in Nanaimo BC, at the age 86 years.
Dolly was born October 21, 1931, the daughter of Hilda and Harry Renyard in Revelstoke BC.
Dolly met and married James Williams in 1950 and started their family in Revelstoke, moving to Vanderhoof in 1961 to try their hand at farming but decided that the island life was for them, moving to Ladysmith in 1971.
Dolly was a long time member of the ladies auxiliary and enjoyed working at the Thrift Shop, receiving her 20 year pin earlier this year.
Dolly was predeceased by her husband James 2012, survived by her children Fred (Milena), George, Susan (Don), Ray (Lynne), Henry (Dorraine) and Jean (Mike), 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and brother Tom (Pat).
The Williams family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff of Dufferin Place, Nanaimo for their attentiveness and loving care of mom.
Family and friends and others whose lives Dolly touched are invited to the celebration of life which will be held at The Eagles Hall, Ladysmith on Sunday, December 17th, 2017, 1 to 4 pm.
