That's what fascism does, rebels against moralism and righteousness in the name of moralism and righteousness, to bias oneself in the most selfish ways possible. Racism is a key tactic, to distinguish the falsely perceived inferior from the superior.
The GOP is celebrating fascism, neo-nazism, and all right wing extremism as Republicanism while rebelling against moralism to lower themselves further into the tyrannical abyss — and using white Christian nationalism as a backdrop, soon to become part of the state. Holy crap! For rich people it's another boon.
Trump was a perfect example of this in brutalizing Zelensky with insufferable lies while his henchmen kissed his robe. It was a candid example of things to come at the whim of an arrogant despot who has loaded the government with "yes men and women" who are ridiculously unqualified.
This is a sham of epic proportions. For some suspicious reason Trump has an affinity with Putin, putting Europe between a rock and a hard place. China is an ally with Russia, of which Trump is imposing a trade war. Putin is giddy. Why? American democracy is being destroyed into an outright plutocracy and Russia will get an economic boost since Trump is the fossil fuel president, practically Russia's only natural resource. Almost all Russian labourers work in mining industries, which Putin exploits. Trump admires that?
None of this makes sense unless all is pretence, which then makes a lot of sense. The first thing that comes to mind is that Trump has a personal agenda for himself, like turning Gaza into a Trump resort. After the Zelensky brutalization Trump said, "I'll say this, it was good television".
Scholars can be as scientific about this as they want. Bottom line, we're all getting screwed by Trump who has his minions eating out of his hand just enough to screw themselves. Dems are just hoping he self-destructs, since this is all unprecedented; big mistake.
