Poilievre and the Conservatives sure have amassed a litany of divisive issues within their own party which they conveniently choose to ignore.
On March 10 when CTV news asked Poilievre what instructions he was giving his Caucus members about wearing MAGA merchandise or using MAGA slogans Poilievre did NOT answer the question but in slick Maga-esque manner deflected away from the question.
A March 12 survey conducted by Angus Reid Institute reported that 21 per cent of Conservatives would favour joining the U.S. compared to one to two per cent of Liberals/NDP. Then it gets worse! In the same survey, a whopping 33 per cent of Conservatives would favour joining the U.S. if the Liberals won the next election. What? One-third of Conservatives would prefer to give Canada to Trump than live as a free Canadian under a Liberal government. Words escape me!
For years Poilievre has been screaming that ‘Canada is broken.’ Hmm, really? Trump used the same tactic to cast doubt and fear into the American public powering his way to the top. Note: Canada has the lowest deficit in the G7 and five times lower than the U.S. Broken, weak? I sure doubt it!
While Poilievre continues to provide his usual angertainment, in just a few days Mark Carney has put in place a lean fast acting Cabinet Team-Canada, removed the carbon tax, and has set up meetings with world leaders and demanded respect from Trump before he meets with him.
The next election is a critical turning point for Canada. Do we want Poilievre — yesterday’s man, who will, in Carney’s words: “worship at the alter of the almighty dollar and rampant capitalism while kneeling before Trump” thereby making sure that ‘Canada is broken’ or do we want Mark Carney in today’s world, building the future and making Canada strong?
