A free turkey dinner was organized on Saturday by the Ladysmith Resource Centre’s food bank, Coats for Folks and soup kitchen initiatives.
The meal was sponsored by the Ladysmith & District Credit Union and was well attended by the community.
Entertainment was provided by the Nanaimo Community Band.
Children were treated to a visit by Santa Claus and volunteers distributed gifts.
