Sunday’s first game of the three-day Ryan Clark Memorial Tournament was Langley C4 vs. Nanaimo 4 at Fuller Lake Arena on March 20. Langley won 4- 3.

At the second annual Ryan Clark Memorial Hockey Tournament, the players gave it their all to honour one of their own.

Sixteen teams from up and down Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland participated in the three-day tournament in Duncan and Chemainus.

Ryan Clark, a goalie, was killed in a car accident two years ago. Volunteer-run, the tournament’s profits go towards registration costs for players who cannot afford to play hockey.

Awards for MVP and best goalie are given out. The tournament was Saturday, March 19 to Monday, March 21 at Island Savings Centre in Duncan and Fuller Lake Arena in Chemainus.

Read next week’s Chronicle to find out who won the tournament.
