The Yellow Point Drama Group is set to bring a “hilarious” comedy to Cedar Community Hall starting next week.

The theatre group will stage Relatively Speaking, written by British playwright Alan Ayckbourn. The play is set in 1960s London, where main characters Greg and Ginny are in love; however, Ginny has secrets that could get in the way and she has to take a trip to her ex-lover’s home.

“What ensues is a series of hilarious misunderstandings and complications that could cause Ginny’s world to come crashing down,” noted a release from the drama group. “British propriety meets the freedom generation in Relatively Speaking, one of Ayckbourn’s early big successes.”

Nick Scholls, the play’s director said the comedy is for all ages, and the cast is made up of four “very funny” actors.

“It’s a British comedy and people like that it’s a fun play. It’s not that difficult to understand and people like that,” he noted.
