Three local actresses have come together to present Girls Night Out, an interactive musical and fundraising event for Yellow Point Drama Group.

Brenda Clarke, Ann McInulty-Gogo and Kim Rogers will star in a “musical adventure” about three longtime friends who are “over the moon” to meet up at the bar again after years of Zoom chats during COVID-19.

“It is a joyful tale of memories and song told by the three close friends who meet up for late-afternoon drinks at a well-known Cedar bar,” notes a press release.

The show will be held at Cedar Community Hall and the performance’s success will depend on audience members participating by dancing and singing along. Lyrics will be displayed on a big screen for those who want to join in.

In the release, Yellow Point Drama Group president Armando Dos Santos said the group has been inviting local playwrights to submit their original scripts and he thanked Clarke and McInulty-Gogo for writing and directing the Girls Night Out show.

The shows are June 17 at 7:30 p.m. and June 18 at 2 p.m. Tickets are limited and available at www.yellowpointdramagroup.org or at the doors if they are still available. The Kinsmen Club bar will serve alcohol and other beverages and snacks will be available for purchase.
