In Loving Memory ~

Charles William Norman, born on June 10, 1934, in England, passed away on April 10, 2024 on Vancouver Island with loving family by his side. His life was defined by resilience, adventure, and unwavering dedication to loved ones.

Charles grew up in a large family in England and served in the Royal Air Force before starting his career as a draughtsman, where his creative energy flourished. Charles was an avid traveller, ultimately settling in Canada in 1960, where he later met and married Helen.

Together, they raised their cherished children in Canada and England, creating homes filled with love and warmth. He is survived by five of his brothers and sisters, three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild, as well as the love of his life, Helen.

Professionally, Charles worked as an engineer and was involved in Manitoba politics. A devoted family man, Charles's love and kindness knew no bounds. In his final years, he authored a book reflecting his political convictions, leaving a legacy of inspiration.

A funeral service in honour of Charles's life will be held on Wednesday, May 8th, at 2:00 PM, at St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Chemainus.
