Hundreds of people saluted Ladysmith’s sailors at a community event last weekend.
More than 200 spectators took in the Ladysmith Yacht Club’s annual sail past held Saturday, May 11, off of Transfer Beach.
The club members paraded their vessels through the harbour and individually sailed past the new commodore’s boat.
The yacht club sponsored entertainment and live music on the beach, including a bagpiper. More than 20 vessels participated in the sail past.
