Cowichan Valley groups get gaming cash

Several local groups were the recipients of funds from BC Community Gaming Grants.

This is additional transitional funding on top of what the groups normally get in the year.

The groups and projects include: Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 4400 Ladies Auxiliary, Chemainus - $1,870;Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 4400 Chemainus - Crofton - $1,875;Scouts Canada - First Chemainus - $2,100;Ladysmith Preschool Society - $3,000;Rotary Club of Chemainus - $3,750;Royal Canadian Air Cadets No. 257 Parent Committee, Ladysmith - $4,000;Lions Club of Ladysmith - $4,000;Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 171, Ladysmith - $4, 125;Rotary Club of Ladysmith - $4,500;Lions Club of Cedar - $4,500;Royal Canadian Legion No. 171 L.A., Ladysmith - $5,000;Kinsmen Club of Ladysmith - $5,500;Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2101 Ladies Auxiliary, Ladysmith - $5,500;Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladysmith Aerie 2101 - $6,250;Scouts Canada - First Cedar - $7,000; andLadysmith Employment Assistance - $7,500.
