Grab those hot pink wigs, crazy shoes and feather boas — it’s time to get Outrageous.
This Friday, the Ladysmith Downtown Business Association (LDBA)’s major fundraiser of the year will rock Aggie Hall, with performances by Skellig, the Curvettes and a live DJ.
“There will be lots of dancing,” said Lesley Parent, LDBA vice-president. “You don’t want to miss out on the fun.”
Outrageous 2012 will offer its usual brand of eclectic, all-out hilarity, with the added benefit of supporting the LDBA in promoting local businesses and organizations.
In addition to the performances, there will also be games to play, a silent auction, food vendors and a bar tended by the Ladysmith Kinsmen to raise money for the work they do in the community.
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at 49th Parallel Printers, Pharmasave and the Printingdun Beanery on First Avenue.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the fun will start at 7 p.m.
“It’s the most fun event of the year,” Parent said.
