RCMP looking for suspect in Chemainus fraud

RCMP are asking for help identifying a female suspect after a report of fraud at the Chemainus Island Savings Credit Union.

Police have released this photograph of a suspect who is believed to be responsible for using a stolen client card at the Chemainus Island Savings Credit Union ATM.

The North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are asking for help in identifying a woman suspected of fraud in Chemainus.

On Dec. 14, the RCMP received a report of a fraud, which occurred at the Chemainus branch of the Island Savings Credit Union. On that date, a female used a stolen client card at the bank's ATM to withdraw $200.

Police have released photographs of the suspect who is believed to be responsible for the transaction, and anyone with information about the identity of the individual in the photographs is asked to call the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
