Ladysmith Community Health Centre’s urgent care unit is temporarily closed, says the health authority for Vancouver Island.

In a social media post, Island Health said the hospital facility in Ladysmith’s urgent care is closed “due to short-notice sick calls.”

Island Health says it is “actively working to find staffing” and will notify the public if the facility re-opens later today.

People are asked to go to Chemainus Health Care Centre if they require urgent care, advises Island Health.
