NOTICE OF BYLAW CONSIDERATION WITHOUT A PUBLIC HEARING |
Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw No. 2140 June 6, 2023, 7:00pm |
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to section 467 of the Local Government Act, the Town of Ladysmith will consider “Town of Ladysmith Zoning Bylaw 2014, No. 1860, Amendment Bylaw 2023, No. 2140” and that a public hearing is not required under section 464(2) of the Local Government Act. Council will consider first reading on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 7:00pm and may give up to three readings of the bylaw at that meeting.
Affected Lands
Bylaw No. 2140 will apply to all properties that:
- Are within a zone that permits secondary suites, coach houses, two-unit dwellings (duplexes), multiple-unit dwellings or any non-residential use; or
- Are within the Downtown area; or
- Are zoned R-3 or R-3-A.
What is the Proposal About?
Bylaw No. 2140 proposes amendments to the “Town of Ladysmith Zoning Bylaw 2014, No. 1860” to align with policies in the recently adopted “Official Community Plan Bylaw 2022, No. 2200”. If approved, Bylaw No. 2140 will:

Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm, excluding statutory holidays.
