In Loving Memory ~

Smith, Albert Kiever (Fuzzy) passed away peacefully in his sleep at Sunridge Care Home, Duncan B.C. on August 7, 2023, at the age of 90.

He will be missed by his family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Neil and Mabel Smith, siblings Irene, Lawrence, Leonard, Elsie, and daughter Shannon (John) LaRose.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years Colleen (Buckner), daughter Lorianne (Andy) Friis, son Steven (Teresa) Smith, son Daniel (Jess) Smith, along with 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his father Neil and four brothers (Robert, Leonard, Lawrence, and Allen), the family formed the Mount Sicker Logging Company. Fuzzy worked as a logger with the family business from its inception until the day he retired. He worked as the company's spar operator and took pride in maintaining and operating the machine.

Fuzzy had also been an active sportsman all his life. He was a softball pitcher in his youth and spent many hours hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid walker and was proud of his ability to take in a daily walk or two up until his health declined a short while ago.

He loved walking the beaches at the Pacific Rim National Park and Maui, where he and his wife Colleen enjoyed many vacations.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.
