passed away peacefully at Four All Seasons Retirement home at the age of 88.
Muriel was born in Cobble Hill and was the last surviving daughter of the late Nathan Paul Dougan.
Muriel grew up and lived her life on the family farm on Telegraph Road until she married Onni Parta. Together they had two daughters Patricia (deceased) and Carol. Muriel was predeceased by her husband Onni in 1985 and her eldest daughter Patricia in 2000. She leaves behind her youngest daughter Carol, her son-in-law Arthur Carpentier, her grandchilden Rick (Nadine) Carpentier, Leslie (Lee) Purkiss and her great grandchildren Danielle Carpentier and Justin Purkiss. Muriel is also survived by her older brother Fredrick Dougan of Qualicum.
