BOWCOCK, Audrey
Passed away in Nanaimo Hospital on March 24, 2004, born in Salesbury, England July 15, 1927. Audrey crossed the ocean as a war refugee at age 12, returned to Canada in 1956 at age 17. She was active in Girl Guides (Commissioner) A.C.W., Y.P.D.G. North Oyster, Ladysmith Eagles 2101, the Historical Society, Audrey was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, participated in the Take 5, enjoyed camping and a great lover of animals.
Predeceased by her husband Geoff, and son Max. Survived by her long time companion Frank DeFrane, her daughter Moira (Paul) Tore, grandson Raymond (Leanne) Speer. Sisters: Bette Bottorf and Jean Chabriel, and brother Donald McVeigh.
Service of Remembrance Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in Ladysmith Eagle’s Hall, Rev. Canon R. Westaway officiating.
