Chester (Joe)
Passed away April 25, 2003 in Victoria, B.C. after a lengthy illness. Born January 3, 1944 in Chemainus, B.C. Pre-deceased by his father Casmere and mother Mary Sylvester and son Lorne Sylvester. Survived by his wife Della and children: Adrian, Kevin (Christine), Albie, Anna, Jaret, Cedar (Glenda), Emma, Troy (Elizabeth), Nilak (D.J.), Abraham, and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Brother: Ross (Bev), Fred (Sarah), Martin (Elizabeth), and Leonard, sisters: Dora (Steve), Margaret (Tom), Marina, Joanne (John), Catherine (Tony), also many nieces, nephews and good friends. Our special gratitude to Dr. Weir, Dr. Wm. Fritsch and all the staff in the Renal units of the Cowichan and Royal Jubilee Hospitals. Prayers were Monday, April 28, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. in the Shaker Church, followed by interment in St. Anne’s Churchyard, Duncan, B.C. Rev. Lloyd Bob officiating. Arrangements confidently assigned to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Services.
