Dean Wilson Benson, 79, of Ladysmith, BC, passed away at home on October 3rd, 2017.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Aggie Hall, on the corner of First Avenue and Symonds in Ladysmith, from 1 pm to 5 pm on October 21st.
Eulogizing will commence at 2 pm.
Dean was born in New Westminster, BC to Leroy and Annie Benson on October 7th, 1937.
Dean joined the RCMP at a young age and traveled the country with his family prior to retiring in Ladysmith.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, RVing, and family gatherings.
Dean is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Benson, his sister Wreatha (William) Dalton; son Thomas (Katherine) Benson; son Bradley Benson; son Gregory (Stacey) Benson; and 7 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial donations be made to the Ladysmith Health Care Auxiliary at PO Box 1151, Ladysmith, BC V9G 1A8.
