Dennis Tyler, CD2, OMM Passed away peacefully October 4, 2003 in Ladysmith Hospital surrounded by his loving family, born in Rama, Saskatchewan March 23, 1924, he grew up in Saskatoon, and Ladysmith, B.C.

Survived by his loving wife Mary, 3 sons: Stephen, Michael (Karla), Joseph (Nicole), daughters: Denise (Neal) Pearson, Anne (Ron) Vanidour, Cathy (Ryan) Tompkins, 9 grandchildren: Jason, Jenni, Christopher, Julia, Michael, Greg, Corey, Katie and Quinn. Dennis joined the R.C.N. June 30, 1942, served in the North Atlantic in WWI and two tours in the Korean War. Retiring from the R.C.N. April 1968. He worked as an engineer for B.C. Ferries 1969-1987. “He enjoyed life to the fullest”. A Mass celebrating Dennis’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Ladysmith, B.C. Father J. Kobos and Fr. Wm. Hill Celebrants.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements confidently assigned to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Services.
