Effie Elizabeth (Betty)
aged 79, passed away August 26, 2002, at St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit, Vancouver, BC.
She was predeceased by her husband, Buddy Edward Russell on January 15, 1994. She is survived by her loving and caring family: son Victor and wife, Teri; son Allan, son Paul and wife Maureen; daughter Susan and husband Douglas Ferguson; son Kerry and wife, Joanne; son Rodney and wife Rebecca; and 11 loving grandchildren. She will be terribly missed by family and friends in Chesley, Ont., Ladysmith, Chilliwack, Langley and Vancouver, BC.
Funeral service was held August 31, 2002 12 noon at First Memorial Chapel, 602 Kingsway, (1 block west of Fraser St.), Vancouver, BC Reverend Michael Sabara officiating. Very big thanks go to the staff at St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit for making the last weeks comfortable for Mum.
Also a big thank you to Royal Arch Masonic Home, Vancouver, where Mum lived for the past 6 years...especially to Christine, Diane, Marilyn and others. Donations, if so desired, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in your area. Thank you.
