HEATH, EILEEN

1921 – 2009

Eileen was born in Ganges, Salt Spring Island on January 9th, 1921 and passed away peacefully after a short illness on September 14th, 2009.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Thomas (Buster) in 2002. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family in Chemainus, niece Barbara Cleary, (Bill, Shannon, Brendan); many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews throughout the country; as well as friends in Chemainus and North Vancouver.

Eileen enjoyed her last eight years in Chemainus and most recently her time at The Steeples. She fondly remembered her years in North Vancouver and special times at their home in Gibsons. Her many friends will remember her by her outgoing personality, love of music and wonderful sense of humour.

At Eileen’s request there will be no service, however a Tea to Celebrate her Life will be held at The Steeples in Chemainus on Saturday, September 26 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chemainus Health Care Foundation, PO Box 462, Chemainus BC, V0R 1K0.
