September 20, 1925 - April 21, 2021
It is with great sadness, that the family of Ethel D. Wilson announces her passing away on April 21st 2021, at Wexford Creek, Nanaimo BC. Ethel was born September 20, 1925 and was the second of five children born to William (Bill) and Winnifred Morgan, Ladysmith BC.
She was predeceased by her loving husband John (Jack) Wilson in 1993, her older brother Richard (Dick) Morgan in 2009 and Dick's wife Joan in 2003, and her sister Margaret in 2003.
She is survived by her younger brother William (Bill) and Edna Morgan and family of Calgary Alberta, her younger sister Sharon and Gary Mackie, and niece Jody Colter and family.
She leaves behind her daughter Carol and husband Douglas Gooding of Nanaimo BC, her grandson Scott Popovich and wife Jennifer, Victoria BC, her granddaughter Tracey Teneycke, husband James (Jim) and her much loved great grandson, Caden Ladysmith BC.
Mom was an avid reader, loved her crossword puzzles and camping with her family.
She loved knitting and crocheting, which lead to her and her sister Margaret opening a "Baby and Variety" store from her home on third and Symonds street. You may remember the wooden stork sign on the roof of her store front.
A heartfelt thanks to those who knew and took care of my mom, at Wexford Creek Nanaimo B.C. over the years she resided there.
