Passed away at hospital in Nanaimo, BC.
George was born in Manitoba. Predeceased by parents Robert and Blanche and brothers Wallace, Mervyn and Dale.
Left to mourn his passing, wife of 66 years Shirley (Ross), sons Kerry, Jay (Kathy) and Jordan. Five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, brother Donald, brother-in-law John (Helen), sister-in-law Vivian (Larry) and several nieces and nephews.
George (Geordie) spent his working life electronics and operated a family owned security company in Kamloops, BC.
He joined the Baptist church in 1959, taught Sunday School and held various positions in each church he attended.
Retiring in 1989 he volunteered with Grace Fellowship in Denver, Colorado, spent 3 years at Oxford. Graduate school in Dayton, Tennessee and earned a doctorate of philosophy. He published a book and spent many hours teaching from his home in Kelowna, BC and Didsbury, Alberta.
He also spent a few years with Read Soon in Olds, Alberta.
Moving to Vancouver Island, George was an online Missionary.
Cremation has taken place and when able, burial will take place in the family plot in Neelin, Manitoba.
