Gladys May
Born on April 8, 1923 in Tabor, Alberta. Passed away peacefully on June 1, 2003, in Ladysmith, BC. She is predeceased by her husband Matt in 1996, and daughter Patsy in 1999. Gladys is survived by her children: Rick, Lila, Joe (Sheila), John (Sharon Bremner), Kelly (Kevin) Hyne and Bernadette (Peter) Hyne. Gladys is also survived by her grandchildren: Steven (Laurie). Allan (Rhea), Travis, Holly (Paul), Chad (Candace), Courtney, Michael, Lacie, Tim, Jordan, Corey and Shawn. Great-grandchildren: Sydney, Joshua, Dylan, Kylie, Ethan and Erica. Numerous sisters, brothers, neices, nephews, cousins and her special friends Lori and Max Burgess. Gladys will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at Four-All-Seasons and Ladysmith Hospital for their care and concern during Gladys’ stay. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Sands Funeral Chapel, Nanaimo, BC.
Funeral service will be held for Gladys on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ladysmith, BC., with a reception to follow in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gladys’ memory to the Canadian Diabetes Society.
