KNELSON - Henry James "Hank"

Passed away on April 7, 2007 at Cowichan District Hospital. Survived by his friend and companion Bobbie Hill; wife Elma; sons Brent (Shelley), and Kent (Lisa); five grandchildren; brothers Jake, Bernie, Harry, Victor; and sisters Mary and Jeanie. Hank was born in Dundurn, Saskatchewan in 1932 and in 1955 moved to Ladysmith, BC. He was the founder of Mid Island Masonry in 1965. Hank was a bricklayer all his life, and built most of the fireplaces in the area between 1965-1980. The family wishes to thank the 2nd floor nursing staff at Cowichan District Hospital, and a very special thank you to nurse Sandy. A celebration of life will be held at Mount Brenton Golf Course, 2816 Henry Road, Chemainus, BC on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cowichan District Hospital Foundation for Cancer Care, 4-466 Trans Canada Highway, Duncan, BC V9L 3R6.
