passed away peacefully at home in Chemainus on January 15, 2006 with his wife of 46 years, Penelope “Penny” (Armstrong), and their four sons (Jeff, Robin, Randy & Glen) by his side.
Grandpa Jack will be remembered in the hearts of his three grandchidren, Danielle, Dylan and Matthew along with two daughters-in-law Laurie (Jeff) and Christina (Glen).
Jack was born on December 1st, 1939 in Quebec and moved to beautiful Chemainus in 1989.
Jack was a familiar and friendly face around the Cowichan Valley and was co-owner of Penelope’s gift shop for more than a decade.
His family would like to thank Dr. Douglas Gee, the Ladysmith Palliative Homecare staff and the Victoria Cancer Clinic volunteers and drivers for the care and kindness they provided.
The Chemainus-Crofton Eagles #4400 will be having a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 17.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
