1936 - 2002
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rocky on April 4, 2002. He is survived by his loving family; beloved wife Marta, sons Derek and Robert (Dawn), daughter Michelle, sister Marj (Andy), step children; Juan Carlos, Alexandros, Roseo, Micheal Dean, Barbara Ann and their families, six grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Born in Vancouver, Rocky spent many years living and working in North Vancouver, Most of his adult life was spent on the seas as a tug boat captain with Cates Towing, Seaspan and Jenstar International. Recently moving to Ladysmith, Rocky and Marta have felt loved and accepted by their community. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Rocky’s life at a reception, April 12, 2 pm to 4 pm at the Eagles Hall, 921 - 1st Ave., Ladysmith . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Stroke and Heart Foundation.
