It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jimmy" Paterson. Jimmy passed peacefully on the morning of June 10th after a 15 month battle with prostate cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Elizabeth, their son Martin James, and his extensive family. Jimmy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his countless friends on the mainland and Vancouver Island.
One of Jimmy's passions was building and flying remote control model airplanes, and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday June 24th on the flying field at the top of Mount Sicker Rd. in Chemainus, where his ashes will be scattered from one of the airplanes he built.
