BROWN, John
Passed away in Nanaimo Regional Hospital on March 17, 2007. Born in Ireland, May 10, 1930. John immigrated to Canada in 1952, he worked as a police officer for the City of Edmonton, retiring in 1983. Survived by his loving wife Rose, daughter Karen (Carey) Naismith, grandchildren: Dana and John, his brother Alex (Shirley), 2 sisters: Annie (Bill), and Evelyn all in Ireland, also numerous nieces and nephews in Europe and Canada. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. A special thanks to Sandra and staff at the Palliative Care Unit of HRGH and to Maureen of the Mid-Island Hospice for their support and caring.
