TOOKER, Madeleine
April 23, 1926 – July 8, 2008
Madeleine passed away on July 8, 2008 in Nanaimo. Predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth and husband Maynard. She was born in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She lived in Ladysmith from 1957 to 1997 and is survived by her daughter Maggie.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 12 at Ladysmith Fellowship Baptist Church. Thank you to Madeline’s caregivers at Hecate Lodge & Malaspina Gardens. A very special thank you to Betty and Vince Garnett and family for your support and caring. Madeleine was a warm caring person with a special fondness for cats. Donations in Madeleine’s memory to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
