Passed away in Lady-smith, B.C. on Sunday, June 8, 2003. born in Glasgow, Scotland, Jan-uary 08, 1905. Prede-ceased by her loving husband John in 1964, also 2 brothers: David and John, 3 sisters: Margaret, Ann and Elizabeth. Survived by her daughter Mary (Edward) Newbury, 2 sons Darrell and Jack, grandchildren: Dr. Ann Rogers (John), John (Lynn), Mary (Allan), Heather, Elizabeth (Robert), and A. Alex (Hod), great grandchildren: Liam, Connor, Lisa and Kalena, also her brother George (Dorothy) Sharp, and her sister Jean Clarke. Mary was a member of the Eastern Star Nanaimo Chapter 43 and past Matron, also of the White Shrine. She had been an active member of First United Church, Ladysmith. Funeral service Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 1:00 pm in the First United Church, Rev. D. Astle officiating, followed by interment in the Cedar Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Grand Chapter of B.C. and Yukon O.E.S. Cancer Fund c/o Mrs. R. Davidson #318-11601 - 227th St., Maple Ridge, B.C. V2X 0J7 would be appreciated..
