Passed away peacefully in Ladysmith Hospital on February 25, 2005 with his family at his side. Born in Kendall, Saskatche-wan, December 13, 1920. He first came to Vancou-ver Island as a fisherman, later worked for Comox Logging before retiring with Crown Zellerbach. Max greeted everyone with his infectious smile and silent laugh. There was a very special place in Papa’s life and heart for his five precious great granddaughters. The girls always made him laugh and love. Max is forever remembered by his wife of sixty-five years Audrey, daughter Judy, granddaughter Stacy (Corey), grandson Todd (Janet) and great-granddaughters Kelsey, Amanda, Jamie, Ashley and Alysha. His life will be celebrated privately by his family. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
