It is with great sadness we announce that Jane suddenly, but not unexpectedly, passed away at the age of 86 in the Chemainus Health Care Centre.
Jane was predeceased by her husband Lewis William Cromp, daughter Janey Lou Cromp, brother Bill Kyle, sisters Dorothy Russell and Helen Copeland. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Brian Cromp, daughter-in-law Sandra Cromp and grandchildren Dawn Cromp and David Cromp.
Jane was born in Smithers, B.C., and married Lew on July 10, 1944 in Prince Rupert, B.C., where they lived their entire married life. Jane worked for Canadian National Railway for more than 25 years. In 2007 she moved from White Rock, B.C., to Ladysmith, B.C., to be closer to her son and daughter-in-law.
Many thanks go to the staff and care workers of La Rosa Gardens of Ladysmith where Jane resided until just before her passing.
At her request there will be no service. Following cremation she will be laid to rest in Prince Rupert, B.C., to rejoin her late husband Lew and daughter Janey Lou.
